WELCOME TO SHINING STARS

Bringing a fresh perspective to foster care.

We are an independent fostering agency based in Croydon, supporting foster families across London and the surrounding counties, with the aim of welcoming foster carers from across England. We are determined to make a difference to the lives of children by placing them at the heart of a community which values them and supports their needs. Set up and run by two experienced social workers with over 25 years of combined fostering experience, we are a family — and you will be warmly welcomed as part of it.

WHY SHINING STARS

Support from the minute you make contact.

We give our foster carers extensive support, generous allowances and everything they need to help children find emotional stability and security.

1. 24/7 Support, 365 Days

A high level of support every hour of every day — from local staff who genuinely know you, your family and the young people you look after.

2. Ongoing Training

A regular training programme with an individual development plan for every carer, built on the Secure Base Model.

3. A True Family Feel

Carers, their children, children in care and staff — all one family. You will be warmly welcomed, always.

4. Generous Allowances

Fostering allowance starting from £450 a week for a mainstream child, significantly higher for children with additional needs.

5. Dedicated Social Worker

Your own named Supervising Social Worker, with frequent visits — four or more when required — formal and informal.

6. Social Events & Fun Days

Exciting days out, family fun days and festive parties throughout the year — because belonging matters.
